F*CKOFFEE SHOP

F*CKOFFEE started as a joke, and in no time, it had sold over 300 pieces and had a photo taken on every continent (except Antarctica... for now).

I was working with my friends at their audiovisual production company, and since we needed uniforms + ID badges, we decided to combine business with pleasure and create a t-shirt featuring our faces:

Not long after, the company was discontinued. Since I had always wanted to customize clothing and already had this design, I decided to make one for myself. Just for fun :)

That’s where it all began!

A friend liked it and said she wanted one. Then a second... a third... I made the first order: wanted the best fabric, neckline, print type, and shoulder reinforcement tape (what’s that? I didn’t know, but I wanted it).

SOLD OUT!

Second order just like the first. Third order bigger than the first two combined. I realized I needed to learn how to build a website. Discovered Shopify...
The first friend traveled and took the shirt with her. I posted her photo. The second friend wanted a profile pic too... Then a stranger, who saw the shirt on a friend, wanted to buy it just because she was going to Paris.

I realized 3 things:

  1. People want to be part of building the brand;
  2. They create or suggest content themselves;
  3. They have fun doing it.

 

F*CKOFFEE is a joke that got out of hand, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. I made tons of mistakes, got a lot of things right without even knowing I would, simply guided by the love I have for creating it. I invested a lot (yes, a lot of money too, but that’s the least of it).
